Fixed: blog posts image selector

 February 2, 2017
by Flavio Mester

There was an issue that prevented the Select Asset / Cancel buttons from showing up at the bottom of the Asset Browser popup window while editing blog posts, requiring clients to manually “stretch” the window down to reveal them. The issue has been resolved, and other minor interface tweaks applied to the blog post form.

Automatically adding vertical padding to slides in the Header without coding

 February 2, 2017
by Flavio Mester

Our system now allows designers to automatically apply vertical padding to text placed in content sliders in the Header area of the page. An option in Design > Layout > Header area lets you decide whether you would like to apply the padding defined for Word Processor header blocks to slides in Content Sliders.

Designer setting

This way it’s very easy to create slides like the one below, where space is automatically being added above and below the text within the slide (which has a background photo) without the need to manually insert line breaks, CSS code or other gimmicks, which can also cause the slide to become too “tall” on mobile.

Slideshow

Notice that you can specify different values for the Home page hero (typically “taller” than others) and also for mobile (“shorter”).

Lightbox image gallery: launching it from the first image

 February 2, 2017
by Flavio Mester

Websites built on the latest YWD framework have a new image gallery in which only the initial image (rather than all thumbnails) is displayed inititally. Clicking/tapping it then launches the gallery in a lightbox. The system will automatically insert the gallery name beneath the image. The gallery is responsive in all devices and allows for swiping gestures on mobile.

The example below includes two galleries. When people click on the initial image of a gallery...

Gallery - initial state

... it is launched in a lightbox:
