Animation Styles

Animation style classes available for content blocks

New animation styles have been implemented, allowing designers to apply them to content blocks from the Advanced options of the content block without coding. You can also apply them from within the Word Processor editor e.g. to an image. In that case, use the Stylesheet Classes field in the Adanced tab of the Image Properties.

Notes:

  1. If the whole page is set to use an animation effect – an option available in YWD Designer – animation effects applied to content blocks will be ignored.
  2. For a list of all the animation styles as well as additional CSS info, please check out this page.

Forms: all text fields are now responsive

Previously, if you created a text field in our Forms Manager tool that was too wide to fit within a smaller container e.g. a right side bar or the mobile viewport, the field might “protrude” beyond the page layout. That required users to either create duplicate versions of the form or to severely limit the width of text fields, especially because of mobile.

That has been fixed for websites built on our latest framework: the front-end display of all fields – including <textarea> fields – is now automatically limited to 100% of the available width.

Adding custom CSS to any page

CSS in the page properties

The new Custom CSS option

Although you can pretty much design the whole look and feel of your website without any coding using the Design settings, if you’re familiar with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) you can now apply styles to specific pages. Edit the Page Properties, select the Special tab and type in/paste your CSS into the Custom CSS field, without the <style> tags. That’s it!
