The YouTube app allows you to embed either individual videos or a whole channel from YouTube into any page of your website.
You can embed as many videos as you want, and you don't need to have a YouTube account.
Embedding a single video
This will insert the video on a separate content block. You simply copy the 'Share URL' for the video that you'd like to embed from the YouTube website, then paste it into a YouTube Video content block.
Basically, all you need to do is obtain the shortened URL that YouTube generates for you ater you click the 'Share' button below the video...
...then paste it into the appropriate field in the content block in YWD:
You can choose whether you’d like YouTube to display a list of suggested videos after your has finished playing or not. You can also specify a stillframe – an image that should have the same dimensions as the video – to be displayed before people play the video.
Note: YWD is now a responsive system; it will automatically resize YouTube and Vimeo videos to the width of their container. If you would like to restrict the width of the video, set it Advanced options of the content block.
Embedding a channel
You can also embed a whole YouTube channel into any page of your website – no coding required. Select YouTube channel in the Content dropdown, and instead of using the URL of specific video, copy the URL of the YouTube channel i.e. https://www.youtube.com/channel/etc... and paste into the field.
YWD will automatically insert the full channel into the page. Clicking any video will open it in a lightbox. The plugin is fully interactive and responsive.
